Morrison Reist Krauss - Family Law

Ontario Child Welfare Lawyers

Most children have the benefit of growing up in a home where they are secure, happy and healthy. Unfortunately, not every child is afforded this opportunity.

In Ontario, children are entitled to be protected from abuse, neglect and harm. The Children’s Aid Society (also known as Family and Children’s’ Services) gets involved when children are at risk of these or other serious issues. They may seek to supervise a parent or, in more compelling cases, remove the child from the home for a period of time and place them into the care of a relative or other party.

Keeping Kids Safe In Our Community

Charles Morrison represents children as a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer in both child welfare and custody access disputes. On a private basis, he also represents relatives who step forward to care for a child in need of protection. Child welfare proceedings are complex and complicated, and no party should ever enter into a proceeding without experienced legal representation.

Every member of the community plays a role in ensuring the safety and well-being of its children.

At Morrison Reist Krauss, we take our role in these matters very seriously. When a child needs protection, they deserve a fair outcome. It is our mission to do everything we can to help these vulnerable children and youth.
